Dated: 1 October 2002

National Commercial Bank(NCB) officially launched their newest product on the market recently. Called the NCB Signature Credit Line, the facility is specifically designed for professional groups and offers up to a maximum of J$1M in credit.

With the NCB Signature Credit Line, medical doctors, dentists, engineers, airline pilots and university lecturers can access up to 100% financing with no need to provide security or collateral.

At the launch, held recently on the fifth floor of the Atrium, New Kingston, Mr. Courtney Campbell, Assistant General Manager, Retail Banking, noted that, “At NCB we like to listen to our customers … and this facility is one more demonstration of NCB’s commitment to “meet and exceed” our customers’ expectations.”

This newest product comes very attractively packaged with special benefits like free life insurance coverage up to J$1M; credit approval within 24 hours and no service charge on the client’s personal chequing account for the first six months.

It was explained that the personal credit line of up to J$1M is extended to professionals who have been employed in their field for five years or more. However, those with less than five years’ service can qualify for a credit line of up to $500,000.

The funds secured from the line of credit can be used to acquire personal assets, purchase professional equipment, pay for travel expenses, pay for further education or finance other personal purchases.

In attendance at the function were Dr Lenworh Jackson, MD, representing the medical profession; Dr. Derrick Deslandes, university lecturer and Ms. Claudette Royal from the Jamaica Dental Association.

Mr. Garrett D’Aguilar, Chairman, Manager NCB Marketing & Communications gave the welcome, the opening and the closing remarks.
